What would Ronnie say about Socialized(read Universal) Healthcare?

So, like many of you I have wished for someone as well spoken and as truly conservative to the core as Reagan was. What I would give to hear Ronald Reagan today speaking against what is going on in our government.

Oh wait.......watch this.....we CAN hear what Reagan had to say on this subject and on socialism in general. Take heed, this advice is what everyone needs to hear today......there is not anything outdated other than the costs.

Thank you President Reagan, we are ever hopeful that we as patriotic and conservative Americans can take back this country before it is completely run into the ground. But if we cannot, we will raise our great banner up out of the ashes upon the blood of patriots and tyrants if need be.

1. Offended the Queen of England .
2. Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia .
3. Praised the Marxist Daniel Ortega.
4. Kissed Hugo Chavez on the cheek.
5. Endorsed the Socialist Evo Morales of Bolivia .
6. Announced we would meet with Iranians with no pre-conditions.
7. Gave away billions to AIG also without pre-conditions.
8. Expanded the bailouts.
9. Insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian.
10. Doubled our national debt/quadrupled spending.
11. Announced a termination of the space defense system the day after the North Koreans launched an ICBM.
12. Despite the urgings of his own CIA director and the prior 4 CIA directors, released information on intelligence gathering.
13. Accepted without public comment the fact that five of his cabinet members cheated on their taxes and two others withdrew after they couldn't take the heat.
14. Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who quickly identified as "dangers to the nation", groups including veterans of the military, and opponents to abortion on demand....and who ordered that the word "terrorism" no longer be used but instead referred to such acts as "man made disasters".
15. Circled the globe so he could openly apologize for America 's greatness.
16. Told the Mexican President that the violence in their country was because of us.
17. Politicized the census by moving it into the White House from its Department of Commerce origins..
18. Appointed as Attorney General the man who orchestrated the forced removal and expulsion (from America to Cuba) of a nine-year old whose mother died trying to bring him to a life of freedom in the United States.
19. Salutes as heroes three Navy SEALS who took down three terrorists who threatened one American life... and the next day announces members of the Bush administration will likely stand trial for "torturing" a terrorist who had played a part in killing 3000 Americans by pouring water up their nose.
20. Air Force One over New York City .
21. Sent his National Defense Advisor to Europe to assure Europe that the US will no longer treat Israel in a special manner and they might be on their own with the Muslims.
22. Began the process of nationalizing the Auto Industry and the Insurance industry..
23. Announced that for intents and purposes the Health Insurance Industry will be nationalized.

And he thinks he’ll be re-elected????

And you know what … he probably will because “our liberal press loves him"

I agree with Judge Andrew Napolitano, who said last week, "We know more about the CIA than we do about the Federal Reserve."

The Federal Reserve is the Freemasonry of government agencies. It is a virtual secret society unto itself -- a group of unelected brokers who hold the value of our dollar in the palms of their hands. This one agency, with its power to raise and lower interest rates, has exercised more control over the economy than any other government body.

So with that type of single-handed power, why should we be surprised that the U.S. Senate blocked a bill last week to audit the Federal Reserve? 'Tis true! Rep. Ron Paul and more than half of his colleagues in the House co-sponsored the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, HR 1207, which they hope to have hearings on soon.

On the Senate side, Sens. Jim DeMint, Mike Crapo and David Vitter co-sponsored S 604, companion legislation introduced by Bernie Sanders. But it was stopped cold before even being introduced on the floor on "procedural grounds."

So why does this federal agency need a complete auditing? It's very simple: America is in the worst economic situation since the Great Depression; the value of the dollar is tanking on the world market; and the Federal Reserve wields the greatest power to control it, with virtually no accountability -- let alone that the American people and even Congress have virtually no knowledge of what those inside are doing day to day.

The way I see it, there are two primary problems with the Federal Reserve. First, its very existence is a sheer contradiction of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution. As Ron Paul explained last week: "Our Founding Fathers never intended for a single entity such as the Federal Reserve to have this much power. In fact, there is no authority in the Constitution for the federal government to create a central bank, to enact legal tender laws, or to print paper money.

The Tenth Amendment is quite clear that 'The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Secondly, the Federal Reserve is flat-out bad for the economy in the long run because it creates false fronts or temporary escalations in the free market, which eventually cycle around and lead to downturns or more need for other Fed fixes. Even if it creates several cycles of credit rushes (which it deems as "signs of prosperity"), sooner or later, the false foundation crumbles and we find ourselves in an economic hole that the Fed can't bail us out of -- which is exactly where we are now in this recession.

The fact is the Federal Reserve is one of the best examples of government control run amok and its oppression over its people. It rules by dangling carrots, cheap rates and loans before the American public, which in turn oppresses people by their inability to resist further debt. The Fed is the dealer in greed and debt, and its drugs are easy money and credit. Under the Federal Reserve System, Americans and our economy have to return to the Federal Reserve for repeated fixes like a drug addict. Otherwise everything goes into the tank.

If we can get the flow of the Federal Reserve under control, others drawing from its wells will become more manageable and accountable. Its open market operations and dealings with central banks and foreign powers at the very least must have oversight! But you can bet that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are going to fight to prevent the passing of any legislation that regulates the Federal Reserve, because they are in cahoots with the White House and also don't want the trade secrets of the Federal Reserve revealed nor its power restricted. Why? Because its power benefits them, plain and simple. It is being used right now by the Obama administration and the Democratic majority in Congress for political expedience and special interests.

Henry Ford was probably right when he said, "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." That's why I believe, along with Ron Paul and others, that the Federal Reserve needs to be abolished. The U.S. ran just fine without it -- before its inception, in 1913. We had financial crises before its existence and after it, but its intervention has been proved historically only to make things worse.

Our Founders never would have tolerated its abusive power or methods of bribery. It is a detriment to not only the economy but also the very existence of a representative form of government and all Americans who want to experience true freedom.

In the meantime, however, until some act of God or the people do away with that self-regulating and fraudulent government agency, the least we can do is get the Federal Reserve under control by passing HR 1207 in the House and S 604 in the Senate. Write today to demand that your representatives support the bills that require an audit of the Federal Reserve.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Plant a tree of Liberty today!



The Sons of Liberty



In Boston in early summer of 1765 a group of shopkeepers and artisans who called themselves The Loyal Nine, began preparing for agitation against the Stamp Act. As that group grew, it came to be known as the Sons of Liberty. And grow it did!




These were not the leading men of Boston, but rather workers and tradesmen. It was unseemly that they would be so agitated by a parliamentary act. Though their ranks did not include Samuel and John Adams, the fact may have been a result of a mutually beneficial agreement. The Adams' and other radical members of the legislature were daily in the public eye; they could not afford to be too closely associated with violence, neither could the secretive Sons of Liberty afford much public exposure. However, amongst the members were two men who could generate much public sentiment about the Act. Benjamin Edes, a printer, and John Gill of the Boston Gazette produced a steady stream of news and opinion. Within a very short time a group of some two thousand men had been organized under Ebenezer McIntosh, a South Boston shoemaker.



The first widely known acts of the Sons took place on August 14, 1765, when an effigy of Andrew Oliver (who was to be commissioned Distributor of Stamps for Massachusetts) was found hanging in a tree on Newbury street, along with a large boot with a devil climbing out of it. The boot was a play on the name of the Earl of Bute and the whole display was intended to establish an evil connection between Oliver and the Stamp Act. The sheriffs were told to remove the display but protested in fear of their lives, for a large crowd had formed at the scene. Before the evening a mob burned Oliver's property on Kilby street, then moved on to his house. There they beheaded the effigy and stoned the house as its occupants looked out in horror. They then moved to nearby Fort Hill were they built a large fire and burned what was left of the effigy. Most of the crowd dissipated at that point, however McIntosh and crew, then under cover of darkness, ransacked Oliver's abandoned home until midnight. On that evening it became very clear who ruled Boston. The British Militia, the Sheriffs and Justices, kept a low profile. No one dared respond to such violent force.



By the end of that year the Sons of Liberty existed in every colony. Their most popular objective was to force Stamp Distributors throughout the colonies to resign. The groups also applied pressure to any Merchants who did not comply with the non-importation associations. Wherever these groups existed they were either directed in secret by leading men in the community or actually lead by them. However, there were opportunists everywhere, too, who would use the name Sons of Liberty to carry out acts of revenge and other violence not related to the cause. For example, in South Carolina a group of sailors, calling themselves The Sons of Liberty, formed a mob to coerce money from people on the streets*. Such behavior could certainly undermine the cause, so the Sons spent a great deal of time policing themselves and pretenders. This was the origin on names such as "True Sons," and "True-born Sons" of Liberty.



The success of these movements in undermining the Stamp Act cannot be attributed to violence alone. Their most effective work was performed in newsprint. A great many of the Sons were printers and publishers themselves and even those who were not, were sympathetic to the cause. It was they who would pay the most in duties, after all. Nearly every newspaper in the colonies carried daily reports of the activities of the Sons. Accounts of the most dramatic escapades spread throughout the colonies. In one most remarkable incident, an account of the Virginia Stamp Act Resolutions was printed far and wide. It is not certain how many of the editors who reprinted it were aware of the status of the resolutions, but seven were printed, while only five actually passed (the fifth was in fact rescinded the day after adoption.) The ultimate effect of such propaganda was to embolden both citizens and Legislatures in every colony. When the Stamp Act became effective on the 1st of November, 1765, nearly all of these papers went right on publishing without the required Stamp.



In the early months of 1766 there was such chaos that many of the royal governors had gone into hiding. The Sheriffs and Militia that they might have counted on to keep the peace were mostly members of the Sons of Liberty. Governors were afraid to unlock the weapons stores. Few royal troops were available and they were vastly outnumbered in any case. The Sons of Liberty had displaced the royal government in nearly every colony. The Stamp Act Congress had concluded its business, but there was little hope that its petition to Gr. Britain would be heard. Correspondence between the various groups began, toward the mutual support and defense of the cause. It was expected that eventually British troops would land and attempt to reassert control. So it was that the first efforts to unite the colonies were not undertaken by their respective legislatures, but by these independent radical groups. The various Sons throughout the colonies began to correspond and develop a larger organization.




The initial conflicts at Lexington and Concord at the beginning of the Revolution were the sons of liberty. Paul Revere was one such son and the local militias that came together were made up of son's of liberty. While the end game required a call to arms, these patriots used every method available to them to make their fellow citizens aware of the problems each were facing. They became stronger as they stood together and committed themselves to the same cause, namely freedom.




To be a son or daughter of liberty today does not take any more than that. We need to come together and stand as one body. A group of patriots who want our freedom back and can call out the government for its overstepping of its bounds. We have it so much better than the original sons of liberty in that our Constitution and has defined and protected our rights. And yet we have it worse in that what our government is doing to trample our liberties is terribly worse than those pre-revolutionary days. It is time we see that and educate our neighbors on just what our rights are and what we need to do to take them back.




I am proud to call myself a Son of Liberty. Will you become a son or daughter of liberty where you are? The choice to do so may define whether we turn this mess around. You simply lift up your voice and resist the urge to stay silent when you hear regurgitated garbage come out of someones mouth.




Be rational, civil and intelligent in your arguments, but do not concern yourself about being offensive. We have been silenced by this play that our views may be "offending" some. I for one no longer care who may be offended by what I say. I will continue to speak the truth and educate those I can educate on the abuses to the Constitution that are occuring today.

U.S. MILITARY OUSTS CONGRESS AND PRESIDENT IN DEFENSE OF CONSTITUTION

This is not the headline of the news today. Not for us anyway. In Honduras however, it has happened.

In the first military coup in Central America since the end of the cold
war,
soldiers stormed the presidential palace in the capital, Tegucigalpa, early
in the morning, disarming the presidential guard, waking Mr. Zelaya and
putting
him on a plane to Costa Rica.
Mr. Zelaya, a leftist aligned
with
President Hugo
Chávez
of Venezuela, angrily denounced the coup as illegal. “I am the
president of Honduras,” he insisted at the airport in San José, Costa Rica,
still wearing his pajamas.
The military itself has not offered any explanation for the coup, but the Supreme Court has said that the military was defending the constitution against “those who had publicly spoken out and acted against the Constitution’s provisions.” They went on to say that they supported the military's actions and that they accepted the letter of resignation from Mr. Zelaya. Mr. Zelaya denies having ever written it.

Part of what helped things escalate to this point was the fact that Mr. Zelaya was trying to set himself up like Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. He was patterning his agenda after the social populist regime Chavez has instituted. He was forcing a bill into passing that would allow Presidents no term limits. They are currently limited to 4 years as dictated by their constitution.

This is not the end of the story, nor even why I post about it at all. I wonder if I am the only one who sees things the way I see them. President Obama and the Organization of American States are denouncing the coup and demanding Mr. Zelaya be returned to power. Of course, Chavez has issued similar threats. He stated,“They are creating a monster they will not be able to contain,” he told a local television station in San José. “A usurper government, that emerges by force, cannot be accepted, will not be accepted by any country.”

-And yet, was this not what we, The United States, did by fighting our revolution and throwing out England and their King?

It may yet be too late for the Honduran people. There are many who want the socialist brand of Government. There may even be a majority of poor downtrodden who think it is okay to take away from others in order to give to them. That is why there are small protests on the street in support of Mr. Zelaya.

And this is why we need to re-educate our fellow Americans. The United States of America is not a democracy! It is a republic, and may we keep it, as Benjamin Franklin is purported to have said.

Our constitution laid it out for us. We have natural rights. Rights not granted by a federal govt. but to be defended by it. This is an important distinction. In a democracy, 50% plus one could vote away the rights of the rest of us. Our founders were wise enough to know that history had proven men were too easily corrupted by power and so created a nation that would have a government that would answer to the people.

Well, they are not answereing to us. It is time they do.

I cannot imagine our military taking action against our lawmakers who are running roughshot over our constitution. But I do expect our military to ensure our right to voice our displeasure and run the politicians and liberal socialists out of town. But we will not end there. Any member of congress needs to go who has not stood against this growing of government. There needs to be an accounting. We are provided this by our constitution. It is time we took back the government and gave back the power to the states where it belongs.
