Of course the title of this post is absolutely a joke. I don't care if he could sell water to a drowning man, it doesn't do squat for the condition of this country. Found out today that I will be joining the countless others out there who have lost their jobs. Why? Because there are not people who want the sort of projects that my company builds? Because there is no money in the pockets of these investors? No and no! What happened is that Obama and the rest of the democratic elites have been talking down the economy for so long. They needed the country's economy to tank and so with the help of the liberally biased media they sold America a story of how bad the economy was. It does not take long for life to imitate art, or so they say. We as Americans got scared to spend our money. And when we stop spending money soon jobs are lost. For example: I sell widgets. I employ a team of 20 to manufacture them and pay them well to do it. We turn a good profit and demand ...

Okay, so I never claimed to be a math wiz but I gotta call out the President on this one. Today in Arizona, President Obama went to a high school to apparently campaign for the stimulus bill he already signed into law. Why he had to fly all the way to Arizona and expend the resources needed for such an event, I do not know. Why would he not just hold a press conference from the White House? Is he buying into the hype? Does he really see himself as some kind of Messiah? I know I am on a tangent here but did anyone else see some of the zany things being done by his followers? He took a question from a recent town hall meeting where the man almost hyperventilated he was so thankful(to God he noted) that Obama would take time out of his day to talk to them. Um.......yeah, thanks for doing your job as a servant of the people! whatever. Anyway, on to my simple math problem. I took a drive recently. The destination was not important and I barely recollect it anyway. What was memorable about this drive were some of the other drivers on the road. Many times I noticed risks being taken by certain drivers that put them in harms way. Most of the time it took the actions of others to avoid having THEIR risk end in disaster. At a stop light, as east and west directions both got green lights the car opposite me decided to turn right in front of me by gunning it and beating me and the vehicle on my right before we could accelerate. Even having not 'gunned' it I had to let off the accelerator and hit the brake to let this driver pass. This drive has been haunting me. What was so important that this driver was willing to turn in front of us and risk an accident with injury and/or death? I can admit that on occasion someone may really be rushing for an life or death reason I am convinced that more often than not, this is NOT the case. What I think has h...

So just a quick note to bring everyones attention to the fact that the stock market is still diving. Does not surprise me. And of course, congress says it is now because there needs to be action on the bill faster. No, there should be NO action. I am still visibly shaken over the fact that so many of our elected representatives felt it necessary to go against the Constitution of the United States by passing this massive bailout. I heard Tom Coburn's speech on the floor before the vote. I felt relieved that at least some members of congress had the Constitution in mind. But then he went against his own rhetoric and voted for the bill. Why? He states on his web site that it was because Congress was the problem and he needed to take responsibility in dealing with it. I'm sorry, but that doesn'tcut it. That's like saying I will put another hole in the bottom of my boat because it is my fault the first one is there. And then hope that the water from the first hole will exit ...

So now the House has swung 58 more votes than they had last Monday and passed the bailout bill. It passed 263-171. At least 171 members of the house have read their constitution and realize what a catastrophic mistake we are making. What gets me is that many members voiced 'their displeasure' with the bill but voted for it anyway. That's like saying I hate crickets in my ice cream and then pouring them into your bowl. The whole reason we are in this mess in the first place is because Congress and the federal Government has been involved. Rep Sue Myrick released a written statement. in it she said, "I don't want to have to vote for this bill, and I'm not defending it. It's full of things I don't believe in. But we are on the cusp of a complete catastrophic credit meltdown. There is no liquidity in the market. We are out of time. Either you believe that fact, or you don't. I do." I have problems with sentiments such as these on many levels. I...
