Cozy Bedmates!

Growing up, I saw the news on television or in the newspapers and thought,'this is the way it is.'
As I grew up and grew wiser to the ways of our media I saw the bias. I was shocked, to say the least. I then realized that to really know what was going on in the community, state or nation that I needed to educate myself. I took a statistics class which shed a lot of light on polling. This is one of the 'liberal' media's favorite tools of misinformation. For instance, if I ask who someone is going to vote for at an gay-pride rally, I can expect the responses to reflect liberal candidates. It is not brain surgery, which I understand to be quite difficult.

Bias? Really? No Way!
What has got me now is that they do not even try to hide the bias. The liberal media want Mr. Obama to be the President so bad it visibly pains them to give any time at all to Mccain. When Obama took his Euro tour, the Big three networks each sent one of their biggie anchors to follow him. It was like a rock and roll tour. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, you could hear the crickets around Sen. Mccain. But it goes even further than that. Obama published an editorial in the the New York Times accusing Mccain of this and that. Basic campaign bashing, mostly liberal lies and propaganda. Mccain met the editorial head on and wrote a counter-editorial and submitted it to The New York Slimes(I mean Times). They rejected it in its current form. WHAT!? This is really getting ridiculous. It is bad enough that the conservative ideals are ridiculed, and that Joe Public is indoctrinated by the leftist views on everything. But now they wont even pretend to give their news balance.

Fair and Balanced. Right!
So Fox News is the top rated cable news source during prime time. The liberals cant stand it. So MSNBC and CNN and the rest actually come out and attack another station. And they accuse them of being the propaganda machine of the Republicans. Okay, I realize that Fox News is slanted conservative, but they come right out and tell you that. You know where they are coming from. And they do a lot better in providing balance. I have heard many anchors and editorials criticize Pres. Bush at different times when he was not representing the views they liked. It is not an all or nothing mentality. We like what is good and reject what is bad. Simple. What we get with the liberal media is proported balanced news presented in a way to try and force opinion in one direction. The reporters themselves barely mask their own slanted views.

Ratings Ratings Ratings
Well, these are the days of super technology. The average American is able to find the truth much easier than in any time. The liberal media is fighting for its dwindling share. Newspaper circulation is going down every year. Viewership on the three major news chanels is going down drastically. Yet Fox News Channel's ratings increase consistantly. Conservative talk radio has turned into a billion dollar business. Why? Because it represents what conservative Americans want to hear. There is a market for the truth. Americans for the most part ARE conservative. Not republican or democrat, but conservative. These are the values they hold dear. And the more Americans who listen to this sort of programming, the more who are awakened to what has been going on in the 'mainstream' media.

Fairness Doctrine.
So institute the fairness doctrine. Because Talk radio is so overwhelmed by conservatives,(it is the one outlet not controlled by liberal.) Lawmakers in congress want to institute the fairness doctrine which would force liberals onto the shows with equal time and also restrict some of what is said. If the liberals want a radio show why don't they start their own? Oh yeah, they already did. NPR, and it is a miserable mess. Without the deep pockets of NPR could not survive. Why is that? Because their are other alternatives out there which offer more of what America wants to hear. Free Market at work. Goods and services(talk radio) offered to the public, public decides which goods and services it wants. Those goods and services gain their value by the demand made by the consumer. In essence, If the American listener/viewer did not want to listen/watch this conservative programming they wouldn't!

I think the liberal media and liberals in general are scared to death that they are going to lose the election this November. This is why they are so blatant with the slanted coverage. True, conservatives are not thrilled with the republican choice, but given Mccain over Obama, anyone who can unbiasedly compare the candidates will lean to Mccain. What we need though is to encourage those around us to vote. Choosing to stay home because neither candidate is appealing will further hurt this great nation. It is the lesser of two evils, but with Mccain we can build back what we lost.

I see a resurgence of conservativeness. It is evident all around us. The republican primaries woke many up to the power of the biased media. They wanted Mccain because he would have the hardest time energizing the conservative base. We need to press on and take back government. Mccain is not the best but is the best choice available and we need to elect conservatives into congress to keep him mindful of us. If Obama wins, it will be a minimum of four years without any voice for the conservative.

President of the World

After watching and listening to Obama's speech yesterday in Berlin, I found myself musing on a variety of topics. First, I think it is the first time I have ever seen a campaign speech in a foreign country to throngs of adoring fans. He told the crowd that "together" they would all work on a better tomorrow. I don't know about you, but this scares the snot right out of me. Its as though he is running for President of the World. And to listen to his platform and to inspect his record, however small it might be, he just might be. If it was not so scary it would be funny. Obama's campaign is steamrolling right along. It is a mega-hyped media frenzy. The big three networks even sent their three top journalists to follow him around on this European tour. The liberal media is salivating at the feet of Mr. Obama and seem bent on doing anything within their power to better his chances to win the presidency.

Global Welfare
He pushes a world agenda. Remember his remarks about us (Americans) who think we have the right to keep our houses at 70 degrees and drive our gas-guzzling autos etc. etc.. He supports the whole leftist 'carbon credits' ideology. Because we are so industrialized we should pay, some global entity, for the energy consumption we use. And then a country that has little or no industry would be paid out, by this global entity, because they consumed so much less. This is just global welfare. Take from one group to give to another. Audacity is a word Obama likes when it suits him. Well it suits him and his extremist views for sure. What the liberals have always pushed for, from the time they were calling themselves communists, is a global collectivism. Obama offers them this and they cannot even contain themselves. They look absolutely giddy at times. We are being sold a carefully packaged Jack-in-the-box. We, the American people, are being lulled to sleep by a sappy, feel good rhetoric, but if they succeed and he does get himself elected, you watch what comes jumping out of the box.

Modern Day Hitler?
I heard a political pundit compare Obama to Hitler. I thought to myself that this was way too extreme. After listening to the speeches on this Euro-tour I am not so quick to decry that statement. Hitler rose to power through a national collectivist propagandized agenda. Is Obama really different? If anything he is only more global. He is preaching for a "globalist Nationalism". The words of this latest speech are still ringing in my ear. He was telling the crowd gathered there that together, 'they' could change the world. Who is 'they'? This really is someone who sees themselves running for an seat at the head of a global regime. Hitler rallied the youth of his country into a tizzy and created a socialist zeal. Then he carefully propagandized hate and bigotry as the tools against those who would stand in the way. He knew the power of the media. He took over the media first. Obama does not need to take over the media. They are his willing followers. The mainstream media have been waiting for someone like him ever since Jimmy Carter. Only Obama is 100 times more dangerous to America.

The United States of America, in the words of Ronald Wilson Reagan, is the last best hope for the world and its people. It was true when Reagan was President and it is true now! We need to lead the world in proclaiming and preserving freedom. We DO NOT need to pull ourselves into the mire of the world politik. No nation in Europe, or the world, has ever given its people the freedom we have here. Why should we look to Europe as a model for us? WE SHOULD NOT! We are the shining city on the hill, a bastion of hope of the freedom possible. We are the inspiration of the oppressed to resist their oppressors. We are the model for those who desire freedom to emulate. We ARE a great nation! But the people need to take back the government before the government takes freedom away from its people.

Oil everywhere but no will to drill

A popular belief is that consumption of crude oil products within this country has risen unabated in recent years. Evidence does not support this assumption.According to the Energy Information Administration — the federal agency that keeps track of petroleum supply, consumption and inventories — the average daily U.S. consumption of oil and products derived from oil was 18.92 million barrels per day (mdb) in 1996, and is about 20 mdb today.Over the past 12 years, our domestic consumption of oil has risen less than 1 percent a year, while our economy has expanded by 75 percent! Obviously, conservation programs in America are working.[...]While U.S. oil consumption has increased very little since 1996, the situation is quite different in other countries. In China, whose economy has grown at a 10 percent annual pace for the past three decades, daily consumption of oil has tripled from 3 mbd in 1994 to more than 9 mbd in 2008. Since last year, oil consumption in China has increased by 16 percent.In the next two decades, China’s oil consumption is expected to grow at an annual rate of 7.5 percent and India’s at 5 percent, while growth in demand from industrialized countries should be a modest 1 percent annually. However, China produces only about 3.2 mbd from domestic sources, and that volume is near the limit of their domestic capacity. It will be strategically important for China, India and other emerging economies to secure access to oil wherever they can find it.

Where do we get our oil?
Everyone has heard endlessly that the United States relies too much on imported oil. At present, America imports about 60 percent of the oil and petroleum products it consumes. Canada is the largest supplier of oil, and is currently providing about 1.8 mbd of the oil we consume. In fact, the top five exporting countries (Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Nigeria and Venezuela) account for 68 percent of our crude oil imports. Saudi Arabia’s oil fields are declining, but Canada has substantial oil reserves that will allow it to sustain a daily production of 2.7 mbd for the next 200 years. We are Canada’s largest customer for oil; more than 95 percent of Canada’s oil exports are shipped to the United States.Our crude oil imports currently total about 10 mbd, with half of that amount supplied by OPEC countries (some of whom don’t like us). Due to insufficient refinery capacity in the United States, we also import another 2 mbd of finished petroleum products such as gasoline blends, jet fuel and specialty oils for the chemical industry.[...]Recently, Chevron Oil discovered a giant reserve 175 miles off the coast of Louisiana that Daniel Yergen, chairman of the consulting firm Cambridge Energy Research Associates, calls the largest in the United States since the discovery of the Prudhoe Bay reserve in 1968. Yergen estimates that the new Chevron discovery contains as much as 15 billion barrels of recoverable oil that could provide 1 mbd or more within six years.[L]ack of resolve by Congress leaves untouched known reserves of 10.4 billion barrels of oil in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Reserve that would now be delivering 1 mbd if in 1995 President Clinton had not vetoed legislation to permit drilling there.[...]Also disqualified by Congress are nonpark federal lands in the West and off our coasts that contain an estimated 112 billion barrels of recoverable oil, enough to provide gasoline for 60 million cars and fuel oil for 25 million homes for 60 years. These same off-limits lands contain an estimated 635 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, enough to meet the needs of 60 million American homes for 60 years.
With the proper leadership in Washington, we could replace most, if not all, OPEC imports with domestic oil where it is known to exist within and around our borders.

A promising domestic source
On April 10, the U.S. Geological Survey released a field report about the Bakken Formation, a large stretch of land covering parts of Montana, North Dakota and Saskatchewan. The report estimates that between 3 billion and 4.3 billion barrels of oil can be recovered from Bakken. While this new field may be less than half the size of the known oil reserves in ANWR, it is more attractive than ANWR because the Bakken Formation’s location will require less infrastructure investment to transport the crude oil to refineries.The USGS describes the Bakken Formation as the largest continuous type of oil accumulation it has ever assessed.[...]

Oil shale: the waiting bonanza
Oil shale is a rock that is rich in organic material known as kerogen. If oil shale is heated, the kerogen will yield liquid oil. The Green River Formation, which underlies large portions of Wyoming, Utah and Colorado, contains the world’s largest oil shale resource. According to the Bureau of Land Management and oil industry experts, the Green River Formation contains 800 billion to 1.2 trillion barrels of oil, more than all the recoverable oil reserves of the Middle East.
The problem with oil shale is that oil industry scientists have spent decades in unsuccessful efforts to recover the oil in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Shell Oil may have found the key to recovery. Shell declines to get too specific about how much oil the company could extract from the Green River site, but a Department of Energy study contends that the region could sustain 2 mbd by 2020 and 3 mbd by 2050. Other government studies suggest the Green River Formation could sustain production of 5 mbd. At that level, the Green River Formation would be the largest oilfield in the world. Based on current estimates of oil reserves in the shale, the Green River Formation could provide sustainable production for hundreds of years.

Hello, I will be attacking you in 15 minutes.

This is what the Washington DC council must think will happen to let residents of DC fully exorcise their constitutional right to defend themselves with a gun. As soon as the landmark "Heller" decision was handed down, the DC council raced to put in place emergency gun law that effectively keeps the gun ban in place. Kevin Johnson in the USA today wrote,

Under terms of the emergency law, passed earlier this week by the D.C. Council, residents must obtain a city-issued handgun permit and may keep handguns only in their homes for self-defense purposes.
The permits require every gun owner to pass a written test and vision exam, submit the weapons for ballistic testing and offer proof of residency.
The provisions still rank as some of the toughest in the nation. But perhaps the most controversial aspect of the law, gun rights advocates say, mandates that gun owners keep their weapons unloaded, disassembled or secured with trigger locks, unless they face a "threat of immediate harm."

"The current D.C. proposal requires the complete cooperation of the criminal," NRA spokesman Andrew Akulanandum. "It would require the criminal to call and tell you when they plan to come and attack you."

I suppose criminals will comply. Because they are concerned with the law.(this is sarcasm for those of you who couldn't tell) What continues to drive me bonkers is that we have people running our cities, towns and states who not only disregard the constitution and the rights it guarantees, but do it blatantly. The more I see and hear, and the more I view of the anger of the average American the more I think we are heading for another American Revolution. We have moved so far away from a limited federal Government, that exists merely to protect our individual rights. Our Federal government now dictates law for the good of the collective. No longer is the individuals rights respected and or defended. The Heller decision is what I hope is the first step of many towards reversing this trend. But if we sit silent and let others fight for our rights, we may lose them. It will take all of us, educating and supporting each other, to demand and force those in Power to start relinquishing that power and return our country to the bastion of freedom it did and does represent.

A revolution is more of a reality than many want to consider. There will be some major incidents over the next few years, that if are not handled correctly will ignite this country into action. I hope that we can do this without an armed insurrection. But if we let them take our guns we will have no leverage, and hence no way to secure the other rights endowed by our Creator. I see the conservative movement gaining ground. I see peoples eyes opened to the truth at least weekly. Because our schools do not stress enough of what this country stands for and what it was built on, people are shocked when educated on what the constitution actually allows the government to do, and even more shocked when they realize what is spelled out that government cannot do.

Armed Citizens on campus. Pro or Con

How many lives could have been saved if just one Armed Citizen had been present when the Virginia Tech killer started his shooting spree? Why do you think these killers choose schools and the like? It is because we have made them gun-free! It is like shooting fish in a barrel. No one can defend themselves and so these murderous individuals can commit their mayhem with the highest kill count possible.

Media Blind To Guns Used To Stop School Killer

In Utah, according to USA Today (1/14/2002), Bernie Machen, President of the University of Utah, says he's willing to go to court, if necessary, to defend his school's campus gun ban. And he says this despite the fact that Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff's legal opinion is that such a campus gun-ban would violate the state's concealed-weapons law.
President Machen does not get it. Having people on campus with guns, people who know how to use guns, will actually save lives. A recent case-in-point involves the man who shot six people -- murdering three of them -- on the campus of the Appalachian School Of Law (ASL) in Grundy, Virginia.
In mid-January, a disgruntled student at ASL, Peter Odighizuwa, opened fire on campus wounding three people and murdering three others -- the school's Dean, a law professor and a student. As reported in The Charlotte Observer newspaper (1/18/2002), two men who helped bring the murderer under control were ASL students Mikael Gross and Tracy Bridges, both North Carolina law enforcement officers. The Observer says, in part:
Gross ran to his car, parked about 100 yards away, without dropping the gunman from his sight, grabbed his bullet-proof vest from his trunk and a gun from under his front seat. While the man pointed his gun at fellow students, Gross and two others ran toward him from different directions. One of the others was Tracy Bridges... who also had his gun, Gross said. When the gunman saw them, Gross said, he put his weapon down and his hands up. The third man, Ted Besen... was not armed and ordered the gunman onto the ground. Instead, the gunman lunged at Besen and punched him in the face.
Now, notice the difference here, please, President Machen. When the murderer was confronted by the man with no gun, he ignored him. The murderer punched him in the face. But, when the murderer was confronted by the two men with guns, the murderer put his gun down and surrendered.
In an interview, Tracy Bridges tells us that he was told by a Virginia State Police investigator that when the murderer was stopped by himself and Gross "[the murderer] was going back to his car to get more ammunition." And yes, Bridges says, if he (Bridges) had been carrying his weapon -- instead of having to go to his car to get it -- he probably could have stopped the murderer earlier since "he (Bridges) was in a classroom across from where the first professor was killed." Bridges says the gun he used to force the surrender of the murderer was a Ruger Speed Six, an old .357 revolver; the gun Gross had was a Beretta.
Bridges says he wasn't carrying his weapon and had to go to his car to get it because he is from out-of-state and had not gone through the procedure required to carry it. He says that this procedure "is rather expensive for a law student." And yes, he says he has, indeed, had second thoughts about going through this procedure now so he can carry his gun.
Now, all of this may be news to you because the media has widely ignored the fact that the students who forced the murderer to surrender were armed. James Eaves-Johnson, writing in the Daily Iowan newspaper (1/24/2002), reports that a Lexis-Nexis search revealed 88 stories about the ASL murders and only two mentioned Bridges and Gross were armed. A Westnews search exposed worse results. It revealed 112 stories on the murders, of which only two mentioned that Bridges and Gross were armed.
On the NBC Nightly News (1/16/02), Tom Brokaw noted, in part, that Virginia State Police were crediting law students at ASL "for preventing further loss of life, saying they overpowered the gunman and held him until police arrived." That's it. No mention that two of these students were armed.
The CBS Evening News (1/16/02) noted only that "students tackled the suspect." Again, no mention of any students being armed. And Public TV's NewsHour (1/16/02) said nothing about students doing anything reporting only that "the suspect was captured."
In a lengthy interview on CBS' Early Show (1/17/02), co-host Bryant Gumbel spoke with several people - including Tracy Bridges - regarding the ASL murders. All Gumbel said was that Bridges was among a group of students "who took the gunman down," who "helped pin him down." No mention of Bridges having a gun.
To his credit, on NBC's Today show (1/17/02), Bridges, though not asked, of course, noted that he (Bridges) "got out my handgun, and started to approach [the murderer]. At that time, [the murderer] threw up his hands and threw his weapon down."
In a story of almost 1000 words on the ASL murders, the rabidly anti-gun Washington Post (1/18/02) reported that "three students pounced on the gunman and held him down until help arrived." The Post noted that Bridges and Gross "helped subdue [the murderer] until sheriff's deputies arrived." No mention that Bridges and Gross were armed.
So, the moral of this story is so obvious that it ought to be clear even to a University President like Bernie Machen in Utah. The moral: More guns, less crime. In this case, the more people who had guns at the ASL that tragic day, and knew how to use them, the less people who were murdered. And the same thing will be true at the University of Utah if they ever have a murderous gunman on their campus.
The Charlotte Observer (1/18/02) quotes Mikael Gross as saying, after he and others headed into the ASL administration building to help those who had been shot: "There was blood everywhere. It looked like somebody had mopped the floor with blood." But -- thank God -- a lot less blood was shed at the ASL than might have been shed thanks to the fact that two courageous students were armed and knew how to use their guns.

WHEN in the course of human events........

In the Declaration of Independence, it states(in red),

"When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another",

Notice it says when. This was not on accident. When means ANY time it becomes necessary.

Laws of Nature and of Nature's God, not laws of men and given by God. How can anyone read this and say there is no place for God in this country? Some of the problems we are experiencing in our government can be directly attributed to the exclusion of God and morality in it.

Where to begin? Our government has become everything our forefathers were afraid of. We have allowed our government to become our big brother. For our own good more and more laws are passed taking away more and more of our freedoms.

Wake up America, I love my country! Do you? Do not sit idle, do not be afraid to challenge what you know to be wrong. We are turning America into a socialist state, where govt decides who gets this and who deserves that. Don't think about getting ahead because if you do the govt will take from you to give to someone who does not have what you do. The socialist agenda is cloaked in compassion. We are sold the sob stories where our human compassion makes us want to help. Remember America, we do not need government to take care of each other. We are a great nation who on average contribute time and treasure to help those in need. We belong to churches who organize and commit to lifting up those who have fallen down. All the government does is reward those who do not produce or contribute to society by taking from those of us who do.

Pres. Bush Lifts Ban on Oil Drilling

Earlier Today President Bush effectively lifted the ban on domestic oil drilling. The following is his speech in its entirety. Please read it and be educated where the responsibility will now sit and with who.

THE PRESIDENT: Good afternoon. Across the country, Americans are concerned about the high price of gasoline. Every one of our citizens who drives to work, or takes a family vacation, or runs a small business is feeling the squeeze of rising prices at the pump.
To reduce pressure on prices we must continue to implement good conservation policies, and we need to increase the supply of oil, especially here at home. For years, my administration has been calling on Congress to expand domestic oil production. Unfortunately, Democrats on Capitol Hill have rejected virtually every proposal -- and now Americans are paying at the pump. When members of Congress were home over the Fourth of July recess, they heard a clear message from their constituents: We need to take action now to expand domestic oil production.
One of the most important steps we can take to expand American oil production is to increase access to offshore exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf, or what's called the OCS. But Congress has restricted access to key parts of the OCS since the early 1980s. Experts believe that these restricted areas of the OCS could eventually produce nearly 10 years' worth of America's current annual oil production. And advances in technology have made it possible to conduct oil exploration in the OCS that is out of sight, protects coral reefs and habitats, and protects against oil spills.
Last month, I asked Congress to lift this legislative ban and allow the exploration and development of offshore oil resources. I committed to lift an executive prohibition on this exploration if Congress did so, tailoring my executive action to match what Congress passed. It's been almost a month since I urged Congress to act -- and they've done nothing. They've not moved any legislation. And as the Democratically-controlled Congress has sat idle, gas prices have continued to increase.
Failure to act is unacceptable. It's unacceptable to me and it's unacceptable to the American people. So today, I've issued a memorandum to lift the executive prohibition on oil exploration in the OCS. With this action, the executive branch's restrictions on this exploration have been cleared away. This means that the only thing standing between the American people and these vast oil resources is action from the U.S. Congress.
Now the ball is squarely in Congress' court. Democratic leaders can show that they have finally heard the frustrations of the American people by matching the action I've taken today, repealing the congressional ban, and passing legislation to facilitate responsible offshore exploration. This legislation must allow states to have a say in what happens off their shores, provides a way for the federal government and states to share new leasing revenues, and ensure the environment is protected.
This legislation should also take other essential steps to expand domestic production: Congress should clear the way for our nation to tap into the extraordinary potential of oil shale, which could provide Americans with domestic oil supplies that are equal to more than a century's worth of current oil imports. Congress should permit exploration in currently restricted areas of northern Alaska, which could produce roughly the equivalent of two decades of imported oil from Saudi Arabia. Congress should expand and enhance our domestic refining capacity, so that America will no longer have to import millions of barrels of fully-refined gasoline from abroad.
The time for action is now. This is a difficult period for millions of American families. Every extra dollar they have to spend because of high gas prices is one dollar less they can use to put food on the table or send a child to school. And they are rightly angered by Congress' failure to enact common-sense solutions. Today, I've taken every step within my power to allow offshore exploration of the OCS. All that remains is for the Democratic leaders in Congress to allow a vote. The American people are watching the numbers climb higher and higher at the pump -- and they're waiting to see what the Congress will do.

So he has clearly placed the burden of action on congress. Do not let them fool you into buying in to their weak arguments. The attacks will come, if they haven't already, in the form of global warming scares at the very least. DON'T BUY THE HYPE people. Please do your own independent research and scrutinize the information thrown at you. Alternative energy sources( such as nuclear energy) are definitely to be looked into, but there is nothing wrong with meeting the demand for oil now with more supply.

Tu necessita habla espanol

Do I have your attention? Senator Obama thinks that we as Americans have a responsibility to teach our children Spanish. Now, is that a bad thing? Lets analyze it shall we. What his comment was is as follows. He was commenting on an English Only bill proposal. He stated, and I summarize, "English only?!? Immigrants will learn English eventually. Why do we want to exclude people? When Europeans come to America they speak German, French(who cares) and English. And when Americans go to Europe we can only say"-insert his two word french statement I think- "It is embarrassing.!" So what I want to know is, who the flip cares? I do think it is great when others speak many languages. Our founding fathers spoke many languages. Many self taught themselves Latin, french and the like as well as learning English. What is the difference. Well for one it is our educational system. Our government took it over, without a constitutional right to do so by the way. we just kind of let it happen slowly at the state level until it became the monster it is. Just as all Governmental programs become. Most educated Europeans paid for the education they received. European countries do not have public schools. Not the way we do. There is a lot of responsibility on the students and the parents. Anyway, i digress, When we had the most brilliant minds of the century all together taking hold of this country and giving it the direction it needed to be great, they were not public schooled gentlemen. These were men such as john Adams who taught himself Latin and read and read and read some more to gain his education. He, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, etc. all were taught by self learning or by studying great men and their works. It amazes me when I think about it. So back to point, Obama wants to somehow to make us as Americans learn Spanish and that is his fix for the illegal immigration problem. It is real slick how he deflects it into how embarrassed he is of Americans Illiteracy in foreign languages. I wonder if he has taught his daughters Spanish. And further, English was the language chosen by the founders. There should be a English only law, not to have another law but without one we continue to cater to a segregated community. We need assimilation to occur which it is not under the current system of providing for and catering to people who do not know English.

Now, before you label me a racist I am a Mexican citizen, I have dual citizenship and am proud of my Mexican Heritage. But I am first and foremost an American! I realize the problems in Mexico, and I think the USA can help them become better just like we have with Columbia. But we cannot do it if we cannot secure our borders first. We need to protect the USA and then help others. We live in a great country, that is why we have so many illegal immigrants here. They came for something better. We failed to secure our borders or enforce our laws. We made it easy for them to come here and work and live, and sap our countries welfare systems to boot.

Mr. Obama, do not tell me to teach my children Spanish. That is our individual right and choice to make.

Remember, Government is not the answer, Government is the problem! We need to lessen the size of government and then, only then can we start to breathe the fresh air of liberty and when we do, the economy will flourish(because of less govt interference), more jobs will be available(because the economy is doing well), everyone will make more money(because the demand for good workers will be high) and because more people will benefit from hard work, more people will be hard working.

Thoughts on guns and judges

So, I have been thinking. I know, you're thinking, slow down and breath deeply. Seriously, I've been thinking about the DC Gun ban and what it means to me. And to you for that matter. It is a good thing, for sure, but I worry about what is next. The ban was lifted by only a 5-4 margin. Have our own courts been so caught up in the socialist and liberal propaganda that they cannot judge according to what is stated in the constitution. I am not the brightest person in the world but it does not take a rocket scientist to read and study the founders, the original constitution and the founders own words on the subject of gun ownership.

The founders knew it was necessary, as they framed the constitution and its three branches of government, to give the new government the authority to raise an army to defend these new United States from foreign invaders. After Shay's rebellion, these men realized that they needed to be able to defend from mobs within these United States, However, these men also knew that with a standing army came the possibility of oppression by those at the head of these armies. See for example all the military coups in South America, Africa, and the former Soviet Republics. What was the key to the American Revolution? An armed populace. I know many things went into us being able to do what had never been done in the history of the world to that point. I know that the hand of God had a lot to do with it. The state militias, made up of regular men, great men, both young and old, rich and poor, took up arms to fight for a freedom that had not yet been present on this earth.

What was one of the first things the British armies were being sent to do the night of Paul Revere's famous ride? They were coming to disarm the colonists. With the colonists disarmed, who would put up a fight.

So now we have judges who want to say that today it is different, that our police and military are capable of protecting us. Ask a police officer today how many people they protect in an average year. Then ask how many victims they deal with. You may be surprised. The role of the police officer, other than helping to create revenue for the municipalities they represent is to 'respond' to those who break the law. Yes, their presence does prevent some crime. But take the Virginia Tech shooting for instance. How many of the victims were protected be the police? None. He shot himself. What if just one student or professor had been carrying a concealed weapon. What if there was a chance to cut the number of victims by half, or even by one? Would it be worth it? I am so tired of everyone trying to take our rights away. Quit selling my rights for your peace of mind. The world is a dangerous place. All you do by disarming the public is make the job of being a criminal more appealing to more people. You increase the amount of violent crime when you decrease the amount of guns in any area. And likewise you decrease the amount of violent crime when you increase the amount of guns in any area.

Does everyone need to carry a gun? No, of course not. But a criminal needs to know that everyone has the potential to be carrying a gun. Everyone does have that right. Because no matter what some judge wants to dictate. I have certain unalienable rights. And blast anyone who would try to infringe on my rights or the rights of my family or friends.

Stand tall America! This is still the greatest country on the earth. There is Hope! And it lies inside each one of us. We must take action, because inaction only strengthens those who would enslave us and make us dependent upon a Govt, when it is Govt which should be dependant on us, the people.

Talk to your family. Express your views to your friends. Talk to the guy behind the counter, or the lady next to you in line. Some will not listen. Those we cannot reach. But those who will engage in intelligent dialogue can be directed toward truth and true understanding.

We are the hope of the free world and will continue to be until we trade our freedoms for a little security which will leave us holding nothing.

Happy BirthDay!

Happy birthday America!

Today we celebrate the Declaration of Independence (Actually passed July 2). It is altogether fitting and proper to take a few moments to look back at what that document did. It stated what no other document had up till this time. It is the single most perfect document ever created by man. Greater even than the Constitution. It came forward and placed the power of this new nation in the hands of the people. It was a drastic measure unheard of in the world. It placed the power of this country in the hands of its people, not in the hands of a King. What the men did that signed this Declaration was to risk death. They became traitors to England and if caught would lose everything including their lives. And these were not poor men. Most were prominent men with treasure and prosperity. But they rose up to take the yoke off themselves and their brethren. I feel deeply indebted to everyone of those men and those who would help forge this nation into the mightiest and freest nation in the world. For all of the flaws we have today. For as far from the constitution as we have come. we are still living in the single greatest country in the world. I for one feel a debt to those who risked and sacrificed so much to make this country so great. I will pay that debt by fighting to keep their ideals alive. I will aspire to teach all those around me of what our founders created and where we have gone off track. It is not too late to fix the problems with our govt. and the unconstitutional policies that have taken root. I feel there are many who feel this way. We need to band together and help educate the rest of America. Our Founding fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence and broke the ties with England, starting the American Revolution, for far less than what our federal govt. is doing to us now.

Tribute to a Patriot!

I feel it necessary to pay tribute to a fellow patriot who has gone the way of all the earth. My dear Father-in-Law Ron, who treated me as much like a son as his own awesome boys, died July 3, 2008. I will always treasure his words of wisdom and his 'tell it like it is' attitude. Ron learned to shoot from his father at a young age and passed that down to his own sons. It was always a pleasure to accompany him to the range and shoot off a few reloads. Ron was a straight shooter and had a sense of humor that sometimes only he understood. He was a genuinely happy man, and his smile was contagious. He was a proud father, grandfather, friend, husband, son, and brother. He follows his mother, sister,brother and father in death. I can imagine the great reunion happening now on the other side of the veil. The loss is fresh, the hurt is deep, but the knowledge of our Heavenly Fathers Plan is a comfort that is priceless. Ron, I will miss you, but look to the time when we can again rejoice in each others company.

Second Amendment Wins

The US Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling last week in the case of DC v. Heller not only struck down Washington D.C.'s draconian ban on handguns, it unambiguously returned the rights of gun ownership to the individual rather than the governing state, which heretofore had the sole "collective" right to form armed militias. The highly-detailed, 67-page order examines the Second Amendment in-depth and provides clear and convincing support that while gun violence may be a problem, gun ownership shouldn't be.

Kudos first of all to all the first line patriots out there who serve or have served in our armed forces! I am thankful for your service regardless of your political views. So after saying that, I am in shock to hear Gen. Wesley Clark say the things he has about John McCain.

He started by saying that John McCain needs to "calm down" about his political views being tied to his military service. But he didn't stop there. He went on to say that flying in Vietnam, getting shot down and being a prisoner of war in no way were credentials for President of The USA. WHAT!?! okay so let me get this strait. When General Clark was running for President, his military background was enough of a qualification for HIM to run. When John McCain runs for office he should not mention his military experience because it is irrelevant and does not qualify HIM. Sounds like a double standard to me.

First of all, to run for President of the USA the only requirements are: Natural born citizen of the USA, be thirty five or older, and residing for at least the last 14 years in the United States. WOW, based on that criteria I can run for President! So basically Clark is right that McCain's military service does not qualify him, he is already qualified. What it does though is define his character. Again I do not endorse McCain, however I do regard him with respect and admiration for his service AND what he has done in his life.

McCain was a squadron leader, giving him skills in command. He was shot down and was a POW(prisoner of war) for 5 years(i think). While a POW, he helped organize the prisoners, keep up their spirits, and give them hope. McCain DID have the opportunity to be released from his captors early because of his rank and because of who his father was. McCain chose to remain with his men who he was determined see make it out. Upon release he was given the opportunity of Admiralship and turned it down to serve his country in a different way. McCain does have 20 plus years of service in congress also. If McCain's service for his country(both in the military and in congress) does not demonstrate the skills necessary to be President then how does General Clark's choice for President, Obama, have so much going for him. He is a one term senator who has done nothing, voted present on most major issues and is willing to sell his positions for the right political thrusts of power. Even CNN's interview with Clark seemed to have a "your kidding, right" edge to it when questioning him about his comments.

Hey America! You bunch of racists! What, you didnt know you were a racist? Well you are, or you have the potential to be anyhow. That is what you are being set up to be called if you in any way dissagree with, or heaven forbid just plain dont like Barack Hussein Obama. In a recent speech he declared that he knew what the wicked republican machine was going to throw at him. He said they will say he's inexperienced, he's young, and oh, by the way did we mention he's black! WHAT! I am appalled that this young inexperienced black man thinks that I care what color he is! He can be purple, green, yellow, red or blue and that would not matter to me. What scares me is his very leftist liberal views. I wont even call them policies because I dojnt think he has developed any actual policies. In fact I think if he put into policy all of the liberal agendas he has put his support behind, we, as tax-paying Americans, would be burdened with about 65% of our income being taxed by the Federal Govt to pay for them all. I am not sure about the rest of you Americans but I want to pay less to the govt in taxes not more! Obama should be scaring America. He is a tool of the leftist agenda because he is willing to be led by thier agenda if it puts him into power. This is a man who went to Rev. Wrights church for twenty years but finially saw the light when scrutinized by outraged Americans. Obama was on friendly terms(he actually had fundraisers at his house) with known domestic terrorist Bill Aires who is not appologetic about his past terrorist activities. In fact he wished he had done more. But this was a role he played because it helped him gain power politically in Illinois.

People, Obama is willing to do anything to gain political power, which means he is willing to compromise on any issue to further his own ends. While I do not agree with John McCain on everything. In fact there is much I do not agree with. John McCain is true to his convictions. This is a man who served his country and has been a public servant for many many years. When faced with the choice we are now, as much as McCain may smell funny to true conservatives, Obama is absolutely rotten and maggot infested.

I challenge any Obama backer out there to tell me one thing that Obama has actually accomplished other than be the first black to do............(whatever) I listened to a radio show that asked this same question and all people called in to say was what he says he will do. It scares me that his own supporters have no clue about him. He has done nothing. But he can tear this country apart and put it in worse shape than even Jimmy Carter did!
