Thanks for calling my attention to this post. You're right - it is a thought provoking piece. If we don't stand up we will let a very small but very vocal minority call the shots for all of us.

Meanwhile back at the ranch 33 years after he wrote that, we're still here and muddling through. Typical gloomy British nonsense.

Granted, this is often partly because you'll find generally very little closeness or intimacy between two paid performers, in addition to the nature of an sizegenetics film set -- weird lighting, multiple cameras pointing at you, creepy directors barking orders, etc. -- is not really essentially the most conducive to complete, uninhibited pleasure. Another soldier gives his everything for me!

Yesterday I got a call that I never wanted to get.  My mother called to let me know that an Army chaplain and two Officers arrived with news of my brothers death.  Words do no justice to the anguish and pain that I felt and still feel.  Glen Jacob Whetten loved what he did and was good at it.  He had a desire to serve his country before he was even old enough to enlist.  He joined right after turning 18 and left for boot camp at Fort Benning soon after High School graduation from South High School in Phoenix, AZ. He was first assigned to the 24th Infantry Division(I think) out of Hawaii.  There he became jump qualified and of course expert marksman.  His goal was to become an Ranger, an Airborne Ranger!  Those dreams were realized and he later was re-assigned to the 82nd, an Airborne Ranger Division. He was part of the initial assult on Iraq and the March on Baghdad.  His only regret was they came in so fast they did not need to parachute in at the airport ahead of groud troops.

It was a quiet morning that September 11, 2001. I for one did not wake up thinking that this day would mark a terrorist attack the likes of which have never been seen before. First one plane hit one of the twin towers. This was big, but it could of been an accident. It had to be an accident, right? We wanted it to be an accident. A terrible accident. But then the second plane hit the second tower. This was no accident. This was WAR! The very people who had declared war on us many years earlier. Osama Bin Laden had been behind the USS Cole bombing. We did nothing. Terrorists were responsible for kidnappings, beheadings, and US Embassy building suicide bombings. We did nothing.
